About Trails360
Our Mission
To make planning outdoor activities easier by providing accessible, complete information in an easy to use, cross-platform interface. We will host a personalized, community-centric forum for outdoor enthusiasts where they can share experiences and have fun. We believe in preserving outdoor experiences for future generations.
History of Trails360
As in most good ideas, Trails360 was created out of frustration. Adam had always loved the outdoors and transplanted himself to the Wasatch Front of Utah. During this time he noticed that there was no good free information for hiking beyond just the basics. After years of looking, and through the support of friends and family he decided to solve this by creating Utahhikinginfo.com.

Then, through a stroke of fate, he met James and quickly realized that not only did they share a love for the outdoors and hiking, their technical knowledge and other contacts could lead to something even greater than they alone could ever do on their own. With the help of James’ brother, Eric, and a genius web developer, James S., as well as some great mentorship, they soon formed Trails360.
The Team
Adam Gilbert
Co-Founder
Adam was raised in Eastern Utah where his father worked with the Northern Ute Indian Tribe. Through his experiences in the Uinta Basin (the area of Eastern Utah from the Uinta Mountains on the North to the desert Book Cliffs on the south) he developed a great respect for the outdoors and nature in general. He considers himself an avid moderate hiker who loves to be challenged, but doesn’t like to sacrifice views for brutal hiking conditions. His hiking pet peeves are litterbugs, “Trail Jocks” who think they are better than other people enjoying the trails, and hikers who go out unprepared for the trail they are on.
James Meyer
Co-Founder
James M. spent his teenage years in the United Arab Emirates where he could be found almost every weekend either out in the desert cliffs, or playing some sort of sport. What James M. loves most about hiking is a challenge - especially when it comes to the red-rock slot canyons of Southern Utah, and insanely steep mountain passes. James' pet peeve is when he finds litter on an otherwise pristine trail. So keep your trash with you and haul it out - otherwise James may hunt you down and say mean things about your personal hygiene.
Donna Coleman
Content Contributor
Donna grew up in Northern Utah, along the foothills, and has always considered the Wasatch Range her grand back yard. She has found that hiking is very therapeutic for her, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. She's happy to just hike for the sake of being surrounded in nature, but thrives on the hikes that have a "reward" at the end of the trail; a grand view of a valley, waterfall, arch, etc. She has a weakness for Southern Utah's red rock country, and likes to "run away" as often as time allows to bask in the red rock glory. Her hiking pet peeves are people that leave their trash (come on, people, leave no trace! Pack it in, pack it out!), and those that glare at you when you say hello in passing. Everyone should be friendly in God's Country.
